We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at'Erza Jamison of Northside Christian.'

We've seen Jamison compete at numerous events, including at our most recent All-American camp, where we stated, 'Moving onto a player that showcased a fairly unique, unorthodox identity throughout the day, Erza Jamison. He's a big, strong, skilled forward prospect with the ability to utilize his body and play bigger than his size would imply. Jamison is slightly undersized in terms of height, but understands how to cause mismatches and apply pressure in various ways. He's great at getting downhill and attacking, both in the half-court and transition, and can make quality passes to teammates. Jamison tends to get downhill and finish through contact at a seemingly nonstop rate. He’s also a solid defender and rebounder with a nice two-way feel for the game. Next in his development process is developing a go-to move in the post to overpower smaller opponents. Coach Rich on Jamison: 'Erza is a long, physical downhill presence with great length and an excellent instinct for getting to the cup. He handles the ball well, attacks off the dribble, and mixes it up with bigger opponents inside the paint. With continued skill work and strength training, he will be a force.' Jamison made a consistent impact at camp and should be able to carve out a useful role over the coming years for Northside Christian.'

Given his fairly young age, Jamison is at a pretty nice crossroads between production and long-term upside. He's a sturdy, strong-bodied wing prospect with the ability to cause some matchup problems against smaller guards or slower interior opponents. Jamison displays an understanding of how to effectively get downhill and apply pressure as a penetrator, where he's able to finish or set up his teammates at a reliable rate. He can also operate as a spot-up threat and find opportunities without requiring the ball in his hands. Jamison is a quality teammate with feel on either end of the floor. He will be one to watch as he works to integrate himself within the Knights' roster.
