We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Reid Carrier of Greensboro Day.

We've seen Carrier in various settings, previously stating, 'Meanwhile, Carrier is the youngest prospect on this team but still has an identity that seamlessly meshes with this group. He's a capable secondary playmaker that always seems to find his way into scoring opportunities. Carrier is a nice spot-up threat with the ability to attack off the bounce or make his presence felt in transition. Both guys should earn opportunities to play in the collegiate ranks.' Additionally, our Ethan Reece stated, 'Reid has been a worthy subtle contributor throughout the week but really showed out tonight to close the summer league. Undoubtedly the team's best shooter, he knocked down 7 threes and led the way in an intense battle of high execution with Andrews. What's great about how he plays his role is that he doesn't force bad shots, he stays ready spotting up or coming off screens, and makes you pay when he finds an opening. Regardless of his shot count, he finds ways to impact the game and be influential offensively.'

This season, Carrier should be a vital piece for the Bengals and their veteran-laden approach. He's a useful initiator with some playmaking ability and the understanding of how to properly set up the offense whenever necessary. Carrier handles the ball well, plays within the team structure, and looks to get others involved as often as possible. He's a smooth, consistent shooting threat who arguably performs better as an off-ball piece. Carrier moves well without the ball, positions himself for success, and doesn't try to do too much. He's also a reliable team defender. Carrier is a pretty well-rounded player with excellent shooting prowess, which should make him a target for various programs at the next level.
