We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Neeko Taylor of Farmville Central.

We've seen Taylor in various different settings, recently writing about his abilities with Raising Young Men, where we stated, 'Arguably the top shooting threat on the roster, Neeko Taylor (son of Michael) has been a staple in the program since its formation. While his foundation has largely remained the same, he's consistently improved and shown refinements over the recent years. Taylor is a lethal spot-up threat with the ability to run a team or operate alongside another primary ball-handler. He scores the ball from all three levels, but is at his best when utilizing his perimeter shooting to open up opportunities to attack closeouts, hit one or two-dribble pull-ups, and finish or set up others as a penetrator. Taylor displays IQ, craftiness, and the ability to generate clean looks off the bounce. He's a quality defender, passer, and overall threat in transition. Taylor should warrant next-level opportunities over the next twelve months.'

If anyone on this roster should be considered likely for a breakout during their upcoming high school season, it's Taylor. Between departing players and young prospects, Taylor should be one of the more experienced, battle-tested guys on the Jaguar's roster. He's a reliable shooting threat from the perimeter with the ability to attack closeouts and make plays for himself or others with the ball in his hands. Taylor displays nice pace to his game and can generate clean looks off the bounce whenever necessary. He also highlights IQ and a pretty adaptable understanding of the game'especially through his ability to actively toggle between either backcourt position. Taylor defends well, forces turnovers at a solid rate, and pushes transition play whenever possible. His combination of shooting, playmaking, and adaptability should make Taylor a coveted asset for a variety of progams at the next level.
