We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Isaiah Sanders of High Point Christian.

We've seen Sanders in every possible setting, previously stating, 'The EA Prep Stars have arguably been playing their best basketball of the last calendar year, and Isaiah Sanders is a major part of their success. Although his role as a sophomore for High Point Christian was probably bigger than most players within his class, Sanders seems likely to emerge as a leader for the Cougars. His abilities as a shot-maker are already fairly noted, but his all-around creation skills should allow him to seamlessly transition into a strong offensive catalyst. Sanders is quick, tough, and smart with a nice change-of-pace and the tools to apply quality scoring pressure with or without the ball in his hands. Add in his vision and scrappiness defensively, and it would be shocking if Sanders didn't have a breakout junior season.' Which was recently followed by, 'Although there were multiple standouts in this contest, Sanders was as impressive as anyone on display. He initiated the offense, scored the ball in a variety of ways, and consistently created for himself and others off the bounce. Sanders drew an insane number of fouls, converted every single free-throw attempt, and applied pressure from all three levels. He caused problems with his defensive presence and forced multiple turnovers.'

Following the conclusion of the high school season, Sanders has been quite active. He's produced for multiple squads, but found a comfortable home as the focal point of NC Rim Runners. He's a quick, scrappy, fairly balanced combo guard with the ability to create for himself or others, or simply initiate the offense. Sanders is arguably at his best when looking to apply scoring pressure, but knows how to set up others and make an impact defensively. He makes quality decisions with the ball in his hands and displays nice feel on either end of the floor. Additionally, his notable showing from last weekend came directly on the heels of winning multiple state championship for track and field. Upon reclassifying, Sanders should have a productive junior season.
