A young talent indeed but one that is showing quickly that he will be a force in the state of North Carolina, as 6'2 2023 Kimman Power from Carolina International is a player that is making his mark early.

This past season, Power actually led his team in scoring, averaging 17.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game and showed that he can be a leader and tone-setter on the court.  He can get it done on both ends of the court, asserting himself as a scorer and a playmaker on multiple levels.

We first got a glimpse of Power back in 2018 at the NC Junior Phenom 150, where we said this:

'Moving onto a player that possesses a strong amount of offensive versatility and knows how to properly utilize his size, Kimman Power. He's a wing prospect that can score in a wide variety of ways, through spotting-up beyond the arc, playing with his back to the basket, and taking defenders off the dribble. Power is an efficient scorer from all levels and finishes through contact around the basket. He was a willing passer and tallied numerous assists on the day. Power worked hard on defense and pushed the break whenever possible' Coach Caddell on Power: 'Kimman has a great ability to finish around the rim. He is very good at penetrating and finishing or kicking out to teammates for open shots. He has an awesome attitude and accepts criticism very well. Kimman shoots the ball well and has quality shooting mechanics. He needs to work on transition defense and rebounding for his position.' Power will be one to keep an eye on throughout the coming years.'

Then we got a glimpse of the young man this past November out our high school jamboree and he continued to impress, with Jeff Bendel saying this about him:

'When watching this Carolina International team, one can immediately identity Power as their undisputed offensive leader. He possesses penetration skills, positional size, and the ability to finish with craftiness around the basket. Power is the youngest player on this roster but displayed excellent maturity throughout this contest.'

You can see that he used that strong summer and experience and put it right into his freshman season and it looks to only be the start for this young man.
