Ardrey Kell is coming off a solid season in which they finished 22-7 before falling on the road in the playoffs.  When watching the Knights this season, it seems that everyone had their role on the team.  One of those players really embraced that, providing length, size, getting on the boards, and bringing a defensive stopper down low in the paint.

2021 6'8 Peyton Gerald was a key factor for Ardrey Kell and is hoping to continue to show his production on both ends of the floor this summer with Team Loaded 704.  This past season, he played in all 29 games, averaged 7.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game.

When speaking to head coach Tom Mitchell from Team Loaded 704, he has this to say about Gerald's game.

'Peyton is an athletic 6'8' wing who is effective as a mid-range and three-point shooter but equally effective in the post. A team-first guy, Peyton has worked very hard in the weight room and added a lot of strength in the last year. He has become an excellent shot blocker and rim protector and his athleticism enable him to lock up a smaller player but he also has the strength and quickness to guard a bigger player in the post. A high percentage shooter, Peyton also runs the floor very well and can get to the rim in transition or off the bounce. He has a great attitude, is a very hard worker and been a pleasure to coach.'

Even after watching him multiple times on the court this year, those are some of the same words to describe Gerald's game.  He brings incredible versatility and energy to the floor and can be a huge difference-maker on either end when called upon.

That mindset and versatility have been grabbing the attention of s few college programs, as Gerald informed Phenom Hoops that he has been receiving interest from schools like The Citadel, VMI, and Wingate so far.

“They check up on me and also say they like my approach to my game,” Gerald said.

Once everyone can get back on the court though, Gerald is one to really keep an eye on, as he hopes to carry the momentum from this past season into a big summer, as well as into a big senior year for him. And with his skill set and ability on the floor, coaches should certainly be taking notice of what he can bring to the table.
