We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Jefferson McLamb of Wesleyan Christian and Flash USA.

We saw McLamb numerous times over the past weekend, where we stated, 'Despite some struggles as a team, Flash USA had plenty of positive moments behind the play of McLamb. He has a nice combination of size and skill, showing the ability to score in numerous ways while also battling well around the basket for rebounds. McLamb hit perimeter jumpers, showed athleticism, and offered solid ball-handling.' Those statements were also accompanied with regards like, 'Jefferson McLamb has stood out as the leader of this group, displaying toughness, unselfishness, and solid perimeter shooting.' Followed by, 'Jefferson McLamb continues to lead the charge for this squad. He's a quality shooter with size, polish, and communication skills.'

Throughout the event, McLamb could be found in a successful leadership position for Flash USA. At 6-foot-4, he showcased a well-rounded skillset with the necessary combination of IQ, skill, and athleticism to shine as the focal point. Although he was their most reliable contributor, McLamb maintained an unselfish approach and chose not to consistently dominate the ball. He shot the ball at an efficient clip, attacked off the bounce, displayed explosiveness as a penetrator, and made the smartest possible play with regularity. McLamb was excellent across the weekend and deserves the appropriate recognition for his showing. Expect him to carve out a quality role for Wesleyan during the upcoming season.
