We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events over the past few years but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Griffin Green of Franklin High School.'

We previously saw Green at our WNC Phenom 150 Camp, where we stated, 'Continuing onto a player that showed flashes of offensive dominance during his time at camp, Griffin Green. He's a long, wiry wing prospect with a smooth three-level scoring arsenal and the ability to cause mismatches with his strong perimeter game. Green is smart, athletic, and capable of thriving with or without the ball in his hands. He plays with a strong motor and proved to be an excellent rebounder as a result, frequently grabbing the board and pushing the break in transition. Green is a quality defender that positions himself properly and utilizes his length extremely well to overwhelm the opposition. Next in his development process is working on becoming a craftier ball-handler, as it would make him even tougher for opponents to contain. Coach Wilson on Green: 'Griffin is a very athletic kid that can finish extremely well at the rim. Once he gets his ball-handling down, he's going to take off. Griffin maintained a positive attitude and team-first mentality throughout camp.' Green had a very productive day at camp and will a prospect to monitor going forward, especially if he's willing to work.'

Though Green is probably one of the lesser-known contributors around North Carolina, his production seems to consistently speak for itself. He's a long, wiry athlete with great size, versatility, and a well-rounded skillset. Green can operate in a variety of different roles and find a way to affect the action. Last season, he posted nightly averages of 14.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 2.0 and SPG with respectable shooting splits of 41/36/76. Green and Miles McClure quietly make up one of the best sophomore duos in the state, and should only continue to dominate for these next two seasons.
