We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events over the past few years but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Arrington Jones of Winston-Salem Christian.

We've seen Jones in every possible setting, including at our NC Phenom 150 Camp prior to the season, where we stated, 'Continuing onto a player that was quite possibly the best two-way leader in attendance, Arrington Jones. He's a smart, unselfish point guard prospect with a phenomenal balance between defense, playmaking, and three-level scoring. Jones communicates and is incredibly unselfish in his offensive approach, but knows how to actively take advantage of scoring opportunities from all over the floor. Next in his development process is working to get stronger, as it would make him an even more physical defender and rebounder. Coach Padgett on Jones: 'Arrington is a beast on the court. He is an amazing player and will be a great college player. Arrington can dribble with both hands and can truly finish at the rim on any defender. He is also a great teammate and loves his surrounding teammates. Arrington moves without the basketball very well and has a high IQ for the game. He's a great kid to have on any team.' Jones was phenomenal throughout camp, securing the Mr. Playmaker award with relative ease, and should emerge as a leader during the upcoming season at Winston-Salem Christian.'

Jones has proven to be an intelligent, well-rounded guard throughout camps, travel ball, and the high school season. Regardless of supporting cast, Jones finds a way to stand out as a vocal and electric leader on the court. He's an excellent passer with an efficient scoring arsenal from inside the arc and the ability to play bigger than his size would imply. Last season, Jones has posted nightly averages of 12.4 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 3.2 SPG while standing out as one of the most productive players on the roster. He definitely has college-level ability, so it'll be interesting to see what programs get involved going forward.
