We've seen a lot of players come through our doors over the years, varying in appearance, skill level, and everything in between. We decided to put forth a 'Getting to Know' series on some players who have attended events but still remain on the lesser-known side of things. Each of these prospects embody being a student-athlete and getting it done in the classroom as well as on the basketball court, and today's edition will take a closer look at Aaron Potter of Winston-Salem Christian and Carolina Rising Stars.

We've seen Potter numerous times throughout our current summer season, including at our Stay Positive, where we stated, 'The newly reconstructed Winston-Salem Christian roster has certainly drawn a ton of attention over the summer, and Aaron Potter has been as impressive as anyone. Between his leadership, competitive streak, and nonstop production, the story writes itself. Potter is somewhat unassuming at first glance, but immediately erases any doubt about his abilities. He's a smart, shifty point guard prospect with exceptional vision and a well-rounded scoring package. Potter really understands how to run a team with poise and does a terrific job of stepping up when things turn awry. He's a reliable perimeter shooter with toughness and the ability to absorb (and finish through) contact as a finisher. Potter also stands out as a useful defender and rebounder, and positions himself well to intercept passing lanes. There's a lot of talent within the Lions' organization, and Potter has all the necessary tools to emerge as a leader and find his place at the next level.'

Regardless of setting, opponent, or surrounding teammates, Potter has shown the ability to naturally emerge as a leader. He's an intelligent floor general that offers an impressive balance between playmaking and three-level scoring. Potter has proven to be a reliable three-point shooter with the necessary understanding and change-of-pace to keep opponents on their toes. He attacks closeouts very well, finishing with poise but also showing a willingness to locate the best available decision. Potter is a sharp defender with the ability to force turnovers and make a constant impact in transition. For a guy who very few knew about prior to the summer season, Potter looks prepared to have an extremely productive upcoming season.
