Another game started the day here at the George Lynch Invitational, as Asheville School and Concord Academy were back in action and matching up.  Two heavyweights went to battle in what we hoped to be a very competitive game and that is what we got in the first half. Concord Academy was able to use a balanced attack scoring-wise to get going, while Derin Saran and company continued to play at a high level, with Concord Academy gaining the halftime momentum 34-30.

It stayed that way through the third quarter, with Concord Academy knocking down shots and making plays, helping them maintain the narrow lead throughout the third.  But Asheville School was able to stay strong and play with tremendous energy, staying right there with just eight minutes to go. Concord Academy continued to click on all levels on the floor, making it tough defensively but also being able to capitalize on the other end, as they eventually were able to build a double-digit lead in the final minutes and secure the win.
