Connor Reed is a young junior who is still 16 years old. He is having an outstanding season for Lake Norman Charter, one of the top-ranked academic public schools in the country per US News and World Report. Connor is averaging 13.9 PPG and shooting 45% from the 3-point line and 79% from the free throw line. Just recently, Connor set the school’s all-time record for made 3-pointers. More importantly, Connor also sports an impressive 3.7 GPA.
We have watched Connor numerous times at the NC Phenom 150 camps and with the Pro Skill Select travel ball team. One thing is for certain; Connor can shoot the cover off the ball. He has an excellent touch from the 3-point line and has a really quick release. Connor is also very crafty with the ball and is quite deceptive with his ability to get the defenders off balance with ball fakes and hesitation dribble. What Connor lacks in pure athletic ability, he does make up with his high basketball IQ and tremendous feel for the game.
