Here we take a look at some more freshmen to track in WNC. Only time will tell what players will make the most impact but these players for sure will have an excellent future for their perspective teams.

6'0' Kaelan Gilliland (Asheville Christian) was very productive this summer for ACA. Was very effective at rebounding on the offensive glass & getting second-chance opportunities. He's an excellent player l around. I think he will continue to progress as a star in WNC.

6'3' Malachi Simpson (Hendersonville) could end up being the best prospect to come out of WNC. Has size & athleticism. Gets downhill & finishes at the rim. He was productive for Hendersonville this summer at the Varsity level.

5'9' Martise Mills (Carolina Day) a shifty pg that is always the quickest kid on the floor. Beautiful jumper with a high release. He could have the most productive year out of all players in WNC with a huge role. A building block for Carolina Day & will be a star for years to come.

5'10' Devin Brice (Bunker Hill) quick player that makes good reads on the offensive end of the court. Seems to be a player that will eventually be an excellent 2 way player for Bunker Hill. Hopefully, he will get an opportunity at the Varsity level this season.

5'8' Sawyer Belue (Tuscola) a high IQ pg that can shoot the rock. He loves to extend the defense & isn't afraid to pull it from the volleyball line. Has a little grit to his game & gives great effort for most of his games. Really hoping he gets an opportunity at the Varsity level this year.

6'1' Caiden Brewer (East Henderson) has good size at the guard position for such a young age. Makes excellent decisions on fast breaks & utilizing screen & roll options. Gets to the basket & can finish through contact.

5'9' Dacen Petty (East Rutherford) is a smart player that is a shotmaker. He gives you a playmaker that can extend the defense with his shooting ability. Nice handles with a quick first step. Will be an excellent player for years to come.
