Player: Chris Rivens
Class: 2025
AAU: EAT 2025 National
School: Covenant Day
EAT 2025 National has been a very intriguing topic and team this season, as they look to be bringing some of the best young talent to the court this year, especially in the class of 2025. They have quite a few names that have captured the eyes of scouts and fans early on, and one name that you will learn more about (if you haven’t already) is 2025 Chris Rivens.
Rivens has a terrific, strong frame early on and it shows that he continues to put in the work on the court and off. He brings athleticism to the floor and is effective in putting the ball on the deck, attacking the basket, and finishing strong through or around defenders. Rivens plays with such a smooth feel and understands that he has that ability to really pour it on offensively and lead his team. This is why it will be interesting to see him in the upcoming high school season at Covenant Day. Now that Aden Holloway is gone, it could be Rivens leading the charge at a young age.
He will have plenty of weapons around him, including some terrific bigs but Rivens has a chance to really be something special for the program. With his offensive blend, his ability to rise up and knock down tough shots, and finish/create for himself, he should be a name that quickly gets recognized this upcoming high school season.
What Has Been Said:
“Well, put this guy on your watch list for 2025. Rivens could be the next guard for the program down the road, as he showed a tremendous understanding and feel for the game early, to go along with his solid frame as well. Rivens plays with a smooth feel and gets downhill really well, but he is also continuing to learn and push himself even more, competing with players much older than him.” – Patrick O’Brien in 2020
“He sports a good frame as a guard and a really good feel for the game. Rivens uses a blend of strength and skill to his game, finishing well when attacking the rim or knocking down shots. He has a really good perimeter feel and understands how to score in an array of ways, to go along with his poise on the court.” – Patrick O’Brien from NCISAA Live Period in 2021
