In this industry, you learn about new players and rising stars almost every day but that is just a perk of being in this industry. When diving into the talent pool in South Carolina, we came across a freshman that should be earning more eyes his way; he has the potential to be a name to remember in the state down the road.

2025 6'7 Hayden Assemian from Powdersville high school in South Carolina certainly grabs your attention with his frame and size early on but you dive more into his production already at the high school, you have to get even more excited about him.

On the season, Assemian has been posting numbers of 13.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game, helping his team to a 12-4 record this season so far.  So of course, we dove in more and did our research, while also getting in touch with the intriguing freshman to learn more about his game.

When asked about how he would describe his game, Assemian had this to say:

'I would describe my game as an all-around player and will give everything I got to help my team succeed, by grabbing every board and posting up big to make it easier on the guards. I will attack the basket almost every time I touch the ball and other times when I see my teammate open, I like to get them involved as well.'

When speaking with Coach Anderson at Powdersville more about the big freshman, he also mentioned that Assemian is a young prospect with still a way to go but has the tools to be a big name in the state. He mentioned that Assemian can be aggressive and really control the boards, as well as finishing around the rim. He is also adding more to his jump shot, as he is shooting over 70 percent from the floor early on in his career.

Let's just say, you may want to write Assemian's name down to remember around the state, as he could be quickly making a bigger name for himself.
