2020 6’3 Guard Derrick Butler 17U  Team Knicks

Strong combo guard, has a tight handle and uses his athleticism to get in the paint and finish over bigs. More of a set shooter, with time and space he is capable of knocking down a jumper but it don’t seem like his strong suit at this point. His slashing ability is what separates him from other players, he goes strong to the rim often jump stopping in the lane before taking off. He also possesses the ability to set his teammates up. After getting In the paint he sees lanes for drop off passes.

2020 6’0 Point Guard Landon Johnson 17U Spectrum Ron Clay

Johnson knocked 7 threes in their matchup with NC Spartans, I was impressed with his ability to make shots off the dribble. A couple of his long balls came in transition. In the second half he was oozing with confidence, finishing the ball game with 29 points. His shot making created many opportunities and driving lanes for his teammates because the defense did not want to help off of him.

2020 6’2 Guard Lee Langstaff 17U Team Swish

Langstaff finished with 24 pts versus Team Charlotte Herron, his super quick first step was on display all game. He got by defenders with ease and finished at the basket. Langstaff had his squad in the driver’s seat for majority of the game until Team Charlotte’s last minute run to win the game. He answered a lot of Team Charlotte’s run, scoring 16 of his 24 pts in the second half. His end to end speed and overall aggressiveness was fun to watch.

2021 6’4 Guard JP Haggarty 16U CC Elite 21-22

Haggarty is a jack-of-all trades, he does a little bit of everything for his CC Elite squad. He knocks down open threes, can handle the ball initiating the offense, rebounds down from the wing, and overall just leads by example for his squad. His squad took the win of Team Passion Elite and his Impact was definitely felt.  He has good size at his position, his versatility makes him super valuable.

2020 6’1 Guard Jake Ledbetter 17U NC Spartans

Ledbetter has a flame thrower, he is a shot maker that is never afraid to pull the trigger. I enjoy watching him play, because he entertains. He plays with flair, and has confidence about himself that is unmatched. He has a high IQ, and knows his spots on the floor.

2020 6’6 Forward Jaylen Siermons 17U Fayetteville Elite

Jaylen Siermons was a man amongst boys today vs NC Gaters East, he’s a physical specimen at 6’6 with broad shoulders. All 20 of points came around the basket as defenders bounced off of him. He also is strong on the glass, playing with energy. His play in the middle of the NC Gater’s 2-3 Zone was the key to his squad’s 8 point victory.

2021 5’10 Guard Jack Baldwin 16U Carolina Riptide

I have to show this kid some love! He came off the bench firing on all cylinders for the Riptide. He knocked down 7 triples today that had the bench and crowd in a frenzy. He started off 6 for 6 from deep, shooting from well behind the line. It was great to see, the energy his performance brought to the gym was the highlight of my day.

2020 6’2 Point Guard Nishawn Hodge 17U PSB Elite Brim

Hodge is a strong steady point guard for PSB, he is always in control and plays at his own pace. He is a very solid defender, he rebounds, and he takes care of the ball. I enjoy watching him because he doesn’t force the issue, he is aggressive when it is time to score but he lets the game come to him. Hodge has maturity to his game, he is the type of Guard coaches love to have because they can trust him.
