I’ve had the opportunity to cover the action at Broome High School in Spartanburg, SC for Day 2 of #SummerHavocLive. So far I’ve been impressed with several players as I watched the games played on Court 2. Here are my top performers:

2021 PG Christian Rudisell- (U15) Charlotte Royals

Rudisell has a mature game, a strong frame at the point guard position. He had several hard drives to the basket, either finishing through the contact or creating opportunities for his teammates. Rudisell also was the head of the disruptive press the Royals ran. He constantly was in the passing lanes and applying ball pressure. He lead his team in a OT battle vs Team Xplosion. The point guard is one to keep eyes out for!

2021 6'4 Forward Ethan Parsons- (U15) Team Xplosion

Ethan was high energy in their OT loss, cleaning the offensive and defensive glass. Xplosion PG Hamilton Campbell makes some impressive passes and Ethan’s hands are always ready. He is a pretty good athlete as he had a loud chase down block. He was impressive on both ends of the court finishing around the basket while also anchoring their defense.

2020 6’0 Guards Montez Frazier & Mondez Frazier- (U16) Anderson Knights

The term junkyard dogs fits these brothers perfectly. Both guards bring energy and sheer aggression to the game. They are the type of players coaches love because they give 110% effort at all times. In a losing effort vs NC Flames they battled their squad back in the second half getting steals and layups in full/half court defenses. Although, their offensive skill set will not wow you, they are entertaining to watch disrupt ball handlers all game long.

2020 6'5 Forward Trent Ostrander- (U16) NC Flames 2020

The big man's post moves were advanced and impressive in their win over Anderson Knights. He made multiple dropstep finishes over the course of the game. Ostrander understands how to play the glass, after a post move he used his soft touch to kiss the ball off the backboard. The big man also rebounded well, he crashed the defensive glass and got rebounds out of his position. Those are 'will' plays, and he made those consistently.

2020 5'8 Point Guard Vincent Davis- (U16) NC Flames 2020

The lead Guard for NC Flames, he got into the paint at will. Extremely quick and was hard to stay in front off for defenders. Vincent stays in attack mode until the buzzard sounds. Exciting point guard to watch as he can fill it up and also set up teammates. Definitely a microwave type of player, he can get going quickly, frustrating opposing coaches.
