6’9 2019 PF/C TJ NeSmith (Mid State Magic 17U)

NeSmith is a big man with touch, he showcased his ability to knockdown jump shots and finish around the rim with both strength/finesse. After observing him, I wished he would assert himself more in the paint on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. With his size and skill set he could be a real force if he pressed the issue more and became aggressive. With that being said he is a very good player but there is a another level I believe he could tap into if he wants it bad enough. It Definitely was a treat watching this young man!

6’4 2021 Guard Dana Woodle (Underground Phenom 16U)

Dana was a problem for defenders, he has a long wiry frame and uses it to his advantage. He consistently got into the paint and finished strong, he had a spectacular 360 layup in their matchup vs NC Spartans. He has a nice handle and solid range on his jump-shot knocking down multiple three point field goals today. He is aggressive on the offensive end and feels like he can take his man 1 on 1 at all times. For the most part, he is right about that!

6’4 2021 Wing Kylon Lewis(Underground Phenom 16U)

Dana Woodley and Kylon Lewis combined for a lot of Underground Phenoms baskets today. Kylon is simply a scorer, he got the job in today’s action. Dunks, hard drives, pull up threes in defender’s faces! He did it all. I really enjoyed his game because he played at his own pace, he was rarely rushed and got to his spots on the floor. He is left-hand dominant and was basically unstoppable when he drove left today.

6’1 2020 Combo Guard DeQuandre Newman (Carolina Crossovers)

Strong guard, he poured in 22 points today in his squads victory. All of his points were scored at the rim or at the free throw line. He uses his speed very well in transition, bull dozing his way to the basket and finishing tough layups. His ability to finish with both hands through contact was extremely impressive. Some of his drives reminded me of Buck’s guard Eric Bledsoe, simply just strong, fast, and tough! Newman was determined and could not be stopped.

6’8 2020 Center Brandon Summers (CSB Elite)

Summers dominated on the defensive end of the floor. Through 2 games, he tallied 10 blocks. He is very active and always looking to swat opposing players shots away from the weak side. His frame is thin but his energy and effort is always on full display. It was definitely fun to watch a player who dominates the game by stopping his opponents. Summers truly commanded the paint.

5’10 2021 PG Chase Hakerem (WCBA Elite)

Chase ran his squad beautifully against Underground Phenoms, he has a tight handle and used it to get into the paint and create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Chase also possesses a sweet three point stroke, he knocked 4 triples today. I called Chase a maestro as he got whatever he wanted against Phenom’s defense.
