6'6 '26 Aidan Rousseau (WCBA)

After hearing consistent buzz from cohorts about WCBA, it was time to get a closer look at them with the full team in attendance. Everything being stated was true, specifically in regards to Aidan Rousseau–who stood out as a legitimate prospect and someone who should be warranting more attention throughout the state. Though somewhat unassuming at first glance, Rousseau is a real matchup problem for opponents. Sure, he stands at 6-foot-6 with great length and fluidity but it's his IQ and impressive skillset that leaves spectators (and opponents) in awe. Whether from the block or high post, he's a sharp passer and polished scorer. Rousseau can score with either hand, work the two-man game as a screener, and apply shooting pressure from midrange or beyond the arc. He also rebounds at a high rate and alters/blocks shots well defensively.

6'3 '26 Chris Gomez (NC Spartans)

Given his leadership and raw production throughout the weekend, it should be unsurprising to see Chris Gomez on this list. He's a smart, balanced, well-rounded point guard prospect with the ability to run a team and effectively set the tone on both ends of the floor. Gomez is a smooth creator and overall scoring threat, able to consistently get downhill and generate opportunities for himself and others. Gomez is a quality shooter and playmaker that prioritizes making the right play whenever possible. He utilizes his crafty handle, quick first step, and excellent change of pace to get where he wants on the court. Gomez displays great defensive instincts at the point of attack and forces turnovers at a healthy rate.

5'10 '27 Darryn Johnson (Save Sports)

Although the entire Save Sports roster is worthy of attention, it would be impossible to ignore everything Darryn Johnson did for this group. Standing out among their crew of dynamic ball-handlers, he was able to effortlessly break down opponents, touch the paint and make plays. Johnson is smart, quick, and crafty, which seemed to cause consistent problems for the opposition. Although his scoring, playmaking, and overall offensive game were impressive, his presence as a defender, rebounder, and generally tough player was arguably more noteworthy. Johnson is a suffocating defender with great instincts and a willingness to make hustle plays or do the dirty work. He also made a constant impact in transition. Johnson shined as a leader on both ends of the floor.

5'10 '26 Tucker Robinette (Team Devoe)

Considering everything he did throughout the weekend, it didn't take long to recognize Tucker Robinette and what he brings to a team. He's a smart, heady floor general that possesses excellent quickness and the ability to get wherever he wants with the ball in his hands. Robinette is able to touch the paint at will and finish through contact or with craftiness, but also does a great job of locating the open man and making the corresponding pass. He's a rugged defender that understands how to mirror his assignment, eliminate operating space, and anticipate passing lanes. Robinette also knocked down jumpers and rebounded well for his size. It would be difficult to say anything other than positives about his showing at our Summer Showcase.

5'6 '28 Bobby Montgomery (Carolina Premier)

Despite being the youngest prospect on this list, Bobby Montgomery already has the makings of a really polished lead guard. Although he was a standout last year as a seventh-grader, it's clear that he's only continued to progress over the recent months. Montgomery possesses a tight handle, sharp vision, and the ability to score the ball from all levels on the floor. He can create his own shot with relative ease or generate clean looks for others, and is willing to alter his approach based on team need. Montgomery operates like a leader and coach on the floor, looking to play smart, make the proper decisions, and set the tone on both ends of the floor. Though somewhat undersized, he's a dynamic player and someone who folks should be watching closely over the coming years.
