Hundreds of teams made their way to the Fort Mill, South Carolina area to gear up for what they hope to be a special July season as a team and for their players. The play throughout each game was competitive, as players started to earn recognition for their play on the court. Here are names that stood out.
2020 6’0 Isaac Sinclair (Team Stacked 17u)
Sinclair is a known name for Phenom Hoops but always impresses by playing with a great balance, seeing the floor well, or knocking down the outside jumper. Knows how to make plays and get his teammates involved.
2020 6’2 Bradley Dean (Team Xplosion)
Dean is a shooter and is simply wired to score. Inside or out, he can do it all and plays with toughness coaches want in a guard. Like his ability to play with the ball and off the ball, scoring in an array of ways with his jumper.
2020 6’7 Nate Dunlop (Atlanta Timberwolves)
Sound, active forward that does a little bit of everything on the floor. Constantly moving and having his hands ready around the rim. He may not be the quickness player but his ability to stretch the defense makes him tough to stop.
2021 6’4 Caden Davis (Team Winston 16u)
Davis is a physical, downhill player that plays with something to prove and has no issue putting you on a poster or playing in your face. He is a competitor on the floor with sneaky athleticism.
2021 6’0 Cam Cormany (Team Winston 16u)
Shooters are going to shoot and Cam can absolutely light it up. That is what he did on Day 1, knocking down long-range 3-pointers if his defenders left him open. Once he crosses halfcourt, he is in range.
2021 Elijah Gray (Team Synergy 2021)
Gray is a big body forward but brings much more than that to the floor. He plays inside and out, has solid range and handles as well, knowing how to stretch the floor. There is upside to this forward he continues to work hard.
