Phenom Hoops has spoken about 2024 6'6 Jaxon Prunty on several occasions and in the beginning, one could see that this was a young man that had a ton of upside and just needed time for everything to catch up.  Well, things are starting to catch up for the young man, as he has been putting in the work and showcasing his potential this summer.

Prunty is an interesting prospect with his long, wiry frame (but getting stronger) and the unique skill set he brings to the table.' He has the ability to be a threat from the perimeter with his outside shooting but has only continued to add pieces to his game that is making him more dynamic and a threat on the court.' His ball-handling, his maturity on the court, his IQ' all are improving; and when you add that to his size, skill, and fluidity already on the floor, you have one tough matchup to watch out for.'

We spoke with Prunty recently about how his summer is going and a little bit about his recruitment. Check out the latest with the 2024 prospect.

Q&A with Prunty:

Phenom: How has everything been going for you this summer with Team United'
Prunty: Everything has been going great with us this summer.  We are 11-1 in Peach Jam right now. This team chemistry is very good, everyone likes each other, and everyone is bonding great with each other.  I love playing with my guys.

Phenom: What has it been like playing with such a talented group'
Prunty: The difference between this talented group is that we are not selfish.' We all don't care about points, we are happy whenever anyone scores.' It is rare when one person on our team scores 20 but we only lose like once each summer.' So it is great playing with good players.

Phenom: How do you think you have grown and developed as a player over the last year or so'
Prunty: I think I have developed a lot.  I think my mentality of going to the hole has opened up my jump shot more and now I'm not afraid of contact.  I think me getting stronger is helping a lot now.

Phenom: Recruitment has been going well. Heard from several schools.' What were some of the main messages you were hearing from them'
Prunty: The main message was to stay in the weight room and stay in the books.

Currently, Prunty holds offers from Appalachian State, Hampton, Western Carolina, and Chicago State.

Phenom: Who has been staying in contact with you that has offered so far'
Prunty: Appalachian State and Western Carolina
