If you haven’t noticed, Elon has been making some noise in the recruiting world for their 2020 class. Already securing three players early on that should provide help, they were able to secure a key transfer as well as one of the top unsigned seniors in the state of North Carolina lately.

Check out their class so far.

2020 6’6 Ja’Dun Michael (The Burlington School)

Many would argue that this is the highest recruit that the Phoenix has secured and it certainly is an impressive one.  Once committed to Wichita State and holding numerous high-major offers, Michael decided to make noise and stay home, giving Elon a huge boost.  Michael is a proven two-way wing with tremendous size, strength, and ability to score the basketball.  He can work with or without the basketball and has great instincts on the court.

2020 6’6 Brandon Harris

Harris is a versatile player that can play both the guard and forward spots.  He was the first to commit this past summer and started to get the ball rolling for this class.  With his ability to use his length and knock down shots, he is going to continue to grow and make an impact on this program the more he grows into his body.  As a junior, he averaged 11.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

2020 6’1 Darius Burford

Burford is a 6’1 guard that is coming off an excellent season in which he averaged 24.6 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  He also had six games in which he scored over 30+ points.  How would he describe his game?

“My game is an all-around type of player who is willing to do anything to win, no matter if that is diving for loose balls, getting stops on defense, or stepping up to hit shots.  With my ball handle and speed, I feel I can help be a playmaker for my teammates as well.”

2020 6’9 Michael Graham

A two-way player out of Brooklyn, he will be able to provide size for this class.  In speaking with his coach at Canterbury, he had this to say about what Graham can provide at the next level.

“He’s long and athletic.  He can really run the floor and is quick off the ground to finish at the rim.  Great hands as well.  Graham has great timing on the offensive glass, he is a solid shot-blocker, and knows what he is good at and plays within his strengths.  Graham has a great attitude for the game and loves to get his teammates involved.  He still is relatively new to the game and is making strides almost weekly in skill level and understanding of the game.  Still plenty of untapped potential.”

Transfer 6’0 Ikenna Ndugba

Transferring from Bryant University, Ndugba adds depth at the guard position in the future.  As a sophomore, he really stepped up his scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game and giving a glimpse of what he is capable of doing.  He has been consistent on the boards at 6’0, averaging around 4-5 rebounds per game, while also dishing out 3-5 assists.  Last year, he played in 31 games and shot 31 percent from three.
