We at Phenom Hoops get a chance to watch a lot of talent all around the region, and there are some players that seem to befuddle us in why they are going under the radar.  One player that we have watched countless times and recently watched again at the Phenom New Year's Bash, 2023 Nick Dorn is a player that should be garnering more attention and watching him again, it is easy to see.

There is a lot to like about Dorn's game, as he checks off a lot of boxes in why he is a college-level player. Though he holds a few offers already, his list should only continue to expand with what he has shown over the last year or so.

Again, Dorn is a 6'6 prospect that was able to showcase more of his game last year in helping Chambers, being a key part of the team's success.  And now, he has only elevated his game even more, now averaging nearly 17 points per game, continuing to show his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter, and show his ability to score in a variety of other ways (not just from three).

Dorn has a college-ready frame, has taken his game to another level given the opportunity, and can be a lethal weapon on the floor with his shot-making ability.  That is why it is easy to see, as one of the top unsigned seniors in North Carolina, Dorn should be coveted by schools all around and his recruitment should take off even more.

What Was Said:

'Should be a priority for D1 programs. Knock-down shooter with size/athleticism. Gets to his spots in the midrange & can finish above the rim. College ready frame.'

'Dorn quickly looks the part of a college prospect with his 6'6 strong frame, his ability to be a game-changer from deep, and his ability to get downhill and finish strong.  Dorn continues to add more to his game every time we see him, and with the losses Chambers faces from last year, he looks to be the senior to lead the way.  He can fill it up quickly and should only see his recruitment continue to rise this season.'
