Dodson was another dynamic wing that brought the heat. With nice size and speed, he is an awesome stretch four that is lethal from downtown with a 37 percent clip, but crafty off the bounce and fierce getting into the lane and finishing strong at the rim; always looking to facilitate a nice dime. Dodson has an extremely high motor that never quits. He also works hard on the boards and is a solid defender who can guard multiple positions.
Diodson took every opportunity in this tournament to showcase these abilities among the best talent in the country. He was another standout that couldn’t be overlooked. Through the AAU session, his biggest improvement was his defense and leadership understanding the sacrifice to do whatever needed of him to get the win. Last season, he averaged 11.8pts, 3.9rebs, and 1.5 assists playing on varsity as a freshman.
Dodson set his goal for the upcoming season to continue to improve his skills as much as he can and help his team make a deep tournament run, doing his part to help them win with a passion to pursue greatness before the end of his journey. Such a humble kid. Coaches will love his work ethic and team-first mentality. Extremely coachable to match all the talent he brings to the floor. Dodson is a bonified coaches’ dream with all the tools to be shaped into something special.
