What He Brings to Duke:
Duke strikes again with another huge commitment, landing another Top-50 prospect in 2025 6’8 Nikolas Khamenia. He will now be making an already impressive recruiting class that much better, as the Blue Devils have landed three Top-100 prospects already. Phenom Hoops watched him back in January, and we had this to say after his performance at the Hoop Hall Classic.
“The 2025 prospect was tough all game long on his way to scoring 21 points and racking up eight rebounds in the battle. He really showcased his competitive nature and energy, as well as knocking down tough shots, always looking to make plays, battling in the paint, and being able to create for himself. Really opened more eyes of his versatility on the floor.”
Khamenia can be effective in a variety of ways, whether it is using his size to his advantage and showing he can operate and compete around the basket, or if it is his advanced game in being able to stretch the floor. Operating inside and out, he can score in a variety of ways, finding open spots for his shot, making plays off the dribble and being a playmaker, making good reads and finding other teammates, and showing that he is a competitor on the court. He plays hard, battles on the boards like we mentioned, makes high IQ plays and can knock down shots from deep. This will give the Blue Devils yet another weapon for the future and an extremely smart prospect to use in a variety of areas. Furthermore, this is looking to give Duke yet another top-class in the country.
