My answer is Yes.
The Phenom Tip-Off was an incredible event with a ton of talent, but it also gave us another opportunity to check out underrated prospects that may be ones that college coaches should look at more. One prospect that fits that category is 2025 6’7 Liviu Anton from Asheville Christian.
At the event, Anton understands how to provide production when and where it is needed. This is what we had to say about his game at the event:
“2025 6’7 Liviu Anton is one that college programs should take a look at more. Productive and effective, works hard around the basket, brings a good scoring option, and competes on both sides of the court.”
“6’7 ‘25 Liviu Anton (Asheville Christian) plays with incredible energy. Excels as a tough, low-maintenance big man who consistently does the dirty work. Finishes well through contact and battles extremely hard on the glass. Frequently blocks and alters shots.”
Anton is an interesting prospect with his blend of size, mobility, touch and feel, and ability to operate from a variety of areas. He plays with a strong motor, finding ways to make plays for his team, make those extra-effort plays, and play within the offense. He doesn’t need to be the focal point offensively but finds ways to bring value, scoring off rebounds, battling in the paint, finding ways to get to the line, and make smart decisions. There are certainly tools that you have to like about his game, and he should garner more attention here in North Carolina.
Right now, he holds offers from Barton College, Detroit Christian Community College, and Montreat College.
