It was a great day to be part of the Auburn program, as 2024 Labaron Philon announced that he would be joining the program and be part of Auburn’s recruiting class in 2024. Philon is one that can absolutely light it up, as he has been off the charts this season, averaging 36.9 points, 3.9 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game for Baker High School in Alabama. Phenom Hoops spoke to Philon when his recruitment was just starting to take off, back in September of 2021. This is what he had to say then about his game (Full Article can be seen here):
“I would describe my game as a type of slasher that can create his own space with the ability to shoot the ball from three really well and with the potential to become a dog in any college system.”
Philon chose Auburn over Arkansas, Kansas, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss, and is now the third commitment for Bruce Pearl and the Tigers, joining Peyton Marshall and Tahaad Pettiford.
