Patrick O'Brien

One of the most interesting prospects in the state of North Carolina has been 2025 Tre McKinnon at Lake Norman high school.  McKinnon has a ton of tools that you quickly recognize and see the potential in what he could ultimately be, but he is still only a sophomore.  However, he has really elevated his game this season, becoming a bigger leader for his team and helping lead the charge.  We spoke to McKinnon about his season so far as they look to make a run in the playoffs, as he talks about his growing confidence and much more going on with him.

Game Improving:
Yessir, my shot has gotten much better and I feel really confident in any part of the game. I also feel like I’ve tightened up on defense but I am still working on it.”

Focus this Summer:
“Definitely getting stronger with my left hand and getting my teammates more involved. Also my motor on the court and play more consistently every single game.”

Recruitment:
“It’s been pretty good, just waiting on my first offer. It’s basically just been interest from Alabama, Clemson, Liberty, and more for right now.”
