Phenom Hoops was on deck this past weekend at the Queen City Classic, which brought one of the premier teams in the country to the floor in The Skill Factory. This is a team that is loaded with D1 talent and myself had a chance to watch one of the newest commits, 2024 Jeremiah Wilkinson, who recently announced that he would be heading to Mississippi State. So I wanted to provide a few of my thoughts on what I saw from his game. This being the first time watching him in action (knowing several outlets have seen him more), these were some of my takeaways on what I liked about his game and what the Bulldogs could be getting from the guard. When you watch his game, his explosiveness and quickness are what grab your attention immediately. He does a great job in finding ways to get to his spots, push the tempo and attack in transition, and he is strong with the ball in his hands when getting up and down the court. Standing at 6’1, he has great lift on his shot and displays nice athleticism with his game. He is that combo guard that can get others the rock but I like his ability to create for himself, find his shots, and really use his abilities to his advantage in scoring opportunities. Overall, think he is just a strong guard that can really be that scoring factor on the court and can change a game with his speed and aggressive nature. I liked what I saw and he should be a nice piece for Mississippi State down the road.
