There was plenty of young talent on the court this past weekend at the Phenom March Showcase, as we were introduced to several new names. Here is a list of players that earned our recognition from the event, and what was said about them.
2028 Avery Scales (Team United GSO)
“5’8 ‘28 Avery Scales (Team United GSO) continues to make visible strides in his progression. He showed an improved handle, IQ, and playmaking sense while maintaining his lethal shooting abilities. Plays hard and under control.”
2028 KJ Taylor (We Just Hoop)
“2027 KJ Taylor (We Just Hoop) really opened up the offense with his ability to knock down shots. Hit multiple threes but also created off the dribble as well. Scored 17 points in the win today.”
2028 Maesyn Fitzgerald (NLPB)
“2028 Maesyn Fitzgerald (NLPB) has an incredibly scrappy nature to his game, embracing contact and playing with a chip on his shoulder, tough shot maker that builds his own rhythm, shifty creator in the open floor and brings versatile production.”
2026 Trent Clark (NLPB)
“Love how 5’10 ‘26 Trent Clark (NLPB) sets the tone as a floor general. Playing with tremendous pace while actively pushing the tempo and setting up others at a constant rate. Aggressively looking to make the right play. Scores as needed. College-level player.”
2028 Daniel Howell (BBB Elite)
“6’4 ‘28 Daniel Howell (BBB Elite) is so physically imposing. He’s big, strong, and anchors the paint well on both ends of the floor. Finishing with touch and battling for rebounds. Plays through contact.”
2028 Jamari Shepherd (Carolina Bulldogs)
“2028 Jamari Shepherd (Carolina Bulldogs) continues to be a physical downhill force for his team. Hard to stop him when he is attacking, finishing through contact, and being assertive.”
2028 Colin Morris (Harvest Development)
“2028 Colin Morris (Harvest Development) had a good HS season as a freshman and should continue that this summer. Poise, makes great reads, sees the floor, and can score from multiple levels.”
2030 Robert Grant (Cota Elite)
“2030 Robert Grant (Cota Elite) has been impressive all weekend long. Really mixes it up well offensively, showing comfort from multiple levels, hits shots from behind the arc, and can create for himself.”
2029 Alijah Rollinson (BBB Elite)
“6’0 ‘29 Alijah Rollinson (BBB Elite) is dominating. Clearly setting the tone as a leader. Doing legitimately everything while highlighting IQ, athleticism, and toughness. Dynamic creator with the ability to consistently score from all levels.”
