Various times each year, it seems like players, coaches, and fans alike get extremely worked up about rankings'especially on the national level. Most individuals look to pose an argument for their local star with no real familiarity regarding the rest of the class nationally. It's a haphazard method of approaching the situation, but it's a guaranteed reoccurrence every time a major media outlet releases new rankings. For what it's worth, the general public isn't necessarily wrong to want justification for the exemption of these noteworthy players'it's just dangerous to use blanket rationale. Basically, the notion of saying 'Player X should be ranked here' without seeing (at least a majority of) the other prospects in discussion is simply irresponsible. However, it's becoming incredibly difficult to envision a scenario where Comeh Emuobor isn't highly regarded amongst media outlets and high-major programs over the coming months.

Right now, Emuobor holds three scholarship offers (Virginia Tech, NC A&T, and Illinois). Three. Given everything he showcased over the last three days (and twelve months prior), it is beyond perplexing to try and understand his lack of offers. In all honesty, there's a very limited amount of active North Carolina prospects with 'special' qualities, and Emuobor is definitely atop the list. While his basketball abilities should receive most of the attention, it's legitimately impossible to ignore his unique presence as a leader. Emuobor possesses the type of infectious energy and personality to properly motivate any collection of teammates into battle. His constant leadership, whether through communication or by example, really seems to shine in every context or setting.

Unlike most players, it's nearly inconceivable for Emuobor to have a bad showing. How's that' Well, the two-way wing prospect is an elite defender and rebounder with the tools to dominate a game without necessarily needing to control the offensive action. That being said, Emuobor is more than capable of being a primary cog within an efficient offense. He's a reliable creator and perimeter shooter with phenomenal finishing abilities, making him an all-around nightmare assignment for most opponents. Emuobor is also a useful passer and does a brilliant job of regularly securing second-chance opportunities. He makes a consistent impact in transition and provides an overwhelmingly physical presence on both ends of the floor.

It's becoming difficult to overstate his value, because he just brings so much to a team on and off the floor. Emuobor possesses that 'it' factor, and it's evident every single time he takes the court. Between the differing dynamics of Ravenscroft and Team CP3, he's shown the ability to thrive as a leader and role player. Although his 6-foot-5 frame, powerful athleticism, and tremendous motor certainly appeals to the initial eye test, Emuobor's all-around identity should easily make him one of the most coveted prospects across the country over the next few months.
