There are still several unsigned seniors out there that you will see committing in the coming weeks or months.  One of those 2022 prospects is 2022 Jacob Cooper from Combine PG, a tremendous, quick guard on the court that has had a strong season at his new program.

We remember getting a great glance of what Cooper could provide on the court this past summer up in Virginia, where he stole the show.  And since then, he has only seen his game improve and his recruitment elevate.  Phenom spoke to Cooper about the latest, as he added yet another offer and could he be ready to make a decision soon' Find out all the latest.

Phenom: How has it been playing at Combine this year in your eyes'
Cooper: It has been great. I can't really complain about anything here, great opportunities to get in front of coaches and exploit your talent to get to the next level.

Phenom: Have played with some talented guys around you. What has that been like this year and how has it helped you'
Cooper: It has been fun.  It shows you how high each level gets as you get up and get to the next level.  It has helped me mature, be a lot more unselfish, and realize where to pick my spots on the court and when I need to take this shot or that shot.

Phenom: How do you think you have improved as a player this year' And what did you want to show more about your game'
Cooper: I've improved just by being a bigger leader with my team, just being unselfish, and just maturing everything in my game. I wanted to show that I can hit deeper shots, make better reads, and show when I need to maybe go lay it in or do a pull-up or a floater' just reading the defender.

Phenom: Seems like you have been able to do that.' Recruitment has gone well. Just added an offer from NJIT. What did they have to say when they offered' How long have they been on you and what did they like that you could provide on the court'
Cooper: That they just love my game; loved how I controlled the game and keep the pace at my pace of the game.' Also, they are not afraid of small guards and they've had success with smaller guards in the past, so it is a perfect fit.' They have been on me for about a month now.

Phenom: What other offers do you hold now'
Cooper: Lander, McNeese State, Virginia State, and Mount Olive.

Phenom: Who has been staying in strong contact with you in your opinion'
Cooper: Definitely Lander and NJIT. Incarnated Word has kept in pretty good contact also.

Phenom: Have you been able to make any visits or plan to make any'
Cooper: I went on an official visit to Lander not long ago and I plan to go on NJIT and Incarnated Word officials after the season.

Phenom: What are you looking for in a program when you hear or visit these schools'
Cooper: A winning program and a program that is trying to build to become a winning program.  Somebody that is going to let me come in and play my game and let me be myself, and a good relationship with the coach.

Phenom: Have any time frame of when you may want to decide'
Cooper: I plan on committing at the end of March, maybe early April.
