The Best Player of the Day
6'2' 2021 Terence Harcum – Granville Central (NC)
Harcum is a do it all point guard, capable of setting up teammates or scoring in bunches. He has excellent IQ and anticipation, also with the ability to really shoot the ball or thread a needle. He is trending as one of the top point guards in North Carolina's 2021 class, also trending as a top 10 scorer in the class. Stats: 33 Points. 10 Assists. 7 Boards. 3 Steals.

The Breakout Player of the Day
6'7' unsigned senior Brandon Johnson – Rolesville (NC)
This was the best viewing we have had of Johnson, and he had everyone buzzing who was in the stands. Standing a legit 6'7', if not 6'8', he showcased a full skill set for a big man. He was able to put it on the floor in either grab and go situations or from the high post. He had a touch from 18 feet and in and was a relentless rebounder. The most impressive part of his game here was his passing, both with outlets and in the half-court. His coach says he is fully qualified and that he is only the second season the former football player has been playing basketball. He is averaging 12.5 (team-high) points on 50% shooting from the field and 11.5 rebounds per game. Stats: 16 Points. 15 Boards. 6 Assists. 4 Blocks

The Player Expecting a Rankings Bump
6'7' 2021 Sam Perez – Middle Creek (NC)
Perez has that innate feel for basketball, not only that but his competitive nature bleeds through his game. He is an unselfish, high IQ wing, who the ability to run and offense with his vision or finish and offense with his 3-level scoring ability. Perez grew up a 3 sport star, as a quarterback, pitcher and small forward. They say this was his first year playing AAU basketball after giving up football. The star is rapidly on the rise here, as a buy now prospect for college coaches. Stats: 10 Points. 10 Boards. 4 Assists.

Tylan Green

Most Explosive Player of the Day
6'5' unsigned senior Tylan Green – Sanderson (NC)
This is our second viewing of Green this season, and both times he was high above the rim. His quick-twitch and high motor nature allowed him to produce all over the floor, but mostly on the defensive end and in transition. He got a lot of deflections and rebounds and routinely beat his man down the floor. Green lined up at the high post, the wing and in the dunk spots throughout this game and scored the ball in the half-court. He earned an offer from the only college coach in attendance after the game (Davidson Community College) his first, but that makes sense as if more were there, more than likely they would have started recruiting too. Stats: 22 Points.
