AZ Compass vs. Northwestern (Court 1)
Northwestern got out to an early lead, bring more energy and attacking on offense. It seemed to surprise AZ Compass early on but they started to settle down and find their offense, using their size to their advantage. After being down 11-4 early in the first, AZ Compass took a 46-26 lead into halftime, as Josh Primo led the way with 10 first-half points. Mason Grigg led the way for Northwestern with 11.
AZ Compass continued to stretch their lead in the second half, outscoring Northwestern 31-10 in the third quarter. There was just too much firepower in the end, as AZ Compass took home the x-x victory on Day 1.

Fort Mill vs. Northside Christian Academy
Without two key players, Northside Christian had several other players step up leading the way. Fort Mill struggled early with 11 turnovers but also going 1-for-11 in the first half, while Northside Christian went 6-for-12 from three alone. Najir Underwood led the charge in the first half with 12 points, as Northside led 28-4 at halftime.
Northside created such a lead that they were able to hold on to a 28-point win in the end, s they shot 45 percent from the floor overall.

Dream City Christian vs. Moravian Prep
A star-studded game, it was a matchup that had the attention of many in the building. Top-100 players all around the court, both teams got after it offensively. Josh Hall led the charge scoring in the first half, using his length to score 13 first-half points. Moravian was able to get out to a 26-17 first quarter lead with hot shooting early on and turning turnovers into points. Dream City Christian got to the line a ton but struggled to convert.
In the second half, it was a tight battle but Moravian Prep was able to hold a 10-point cushion for much of the game. Shakeel Moore got into the scoring column more with 18 points, 12 in the second half. Each team held an edge in a category, with Moravian attacking and scoring in the paint while Dream City attack the glass. However, Dream City Christian couldn’t get over the hump in the end.

Keenan vs. South Pointe (Girls)
Keenan, led by their stellar freshman guard, shot the ball incredibly well from the floor in the first half, going 15-for-28 from the floor. But South Pointe kept it close despite going 9-for-26 from the floor. South Pointe continued to attack and get to the free throw line, going 9-for-17 from the line compared to 0-1 for Keenan. Milayia Fulwiley led the way for Keenan with 11 first-half points, while Randi Neal had 11 points as well for South Pointe.
In the second half though, South Pointe got it rolling behind a 30-point performance from Randi Neal. They shot the ball 50 percent from the floor and went 22-for-39 from the free throw line. Keenan battled and it was a close game throughout, but they came up short in the end.

Oak Hill vs. Dorman
It wasn’t the offensive explosion that many might have expected but it still was a battle. Dorman led early on by 5 points but Oak Hill battle back, led by Evan Johnson and company. Eventually, Oak Hill took a 9-point lead last in the second quarter but Dorman pulled back to cut it to 24-21 at halftime.
Cam Thomas and Johnson found their rhythm and Dorman struggled to score at critical times. It helped Oak Hill earn a 13-point third quarter led and they held that double-digit lead for much of the second half. It still was a battle throughout but free throws helped seal the deal in the end for Oak Hill.

Combine Academy vs. Legion
Combine Academy came out strong and really never looked back, using an early balanced attack and getting everyone in the box score. Legion couldn’t find their offense, only knocking down a couple buckets in the first half. Combine, who had eight players score in the first half, expanded their lead to 32-15 at halftime.
Much of it was the same for Combine in the second half, as they ended their night shooting 52 percent from the floor (22-42) and making it tough for Legion Collegiate. The balanced attack was too much in the end as Combine Academy cruised to a 22-point win.
