6’2 ’17 Jordan Roberson (NC Court Kings)

Jordan Roberson was dialed in from all levels especially from the perimeter. The tough combo guard plays with an edge and displayed supreme confidence in his performance. Virtually an unknown in the recruiting circles, Jordan is someone that D1 schools should start tracking ASAP. He has a scorer’s mentality and a quick release and could easily transition into a point guard at the next level, particularly if schools are hesitate over his size. He averaged 24 PPG for the three games on Saturday. While he excelled on the offensive end of the court, we were equally impressed with his toughness and ability to defend.

6’5 ’17 Ian Hinkley (WCBA Elite Blue)

WCBA Elite Blue is an exceptional team surrounded by complimentary parts that make them one of the more enjoyable teams to watch. While Connor Crabtree, Donte Tatum, Douglas Elks and Logan Vosburg has received the majority of credit and rightfully so, 6’5 ’17 Ian Hinkley won MVP honors with a 20 point scoring burst that included four 3-pointers. Hinkley was a scoring threat the entire day. He is a solid all around player that has a tremendous skill set. We’ve always been impressed with his fundamental and basketball IQ, however he is the perfect “glue guy” every team needs. Hinkley plays with a high motor and most of all competes which is quite appealing.

6’1 ’17 Ce’Darius Williams (Mid State Magic)

We first saw Ce’Darius Williams at the NC Junior Phenom Camp back in 2013. We wrote then, “The one thing that stood out for Ce’Darius was his tremendous work ethic on the court. He plays with a high motor and competes hard on both ends of the court.” At the 3rd Annual David Rose MDC, Ce’Darius has enhanced his stock and overall skill set that dovetails with his athleticism and motor. He helped lead Mid State Magic to a 3-0 record for the day and made a big impression on us. He averaged 19.5 PPG and he scored from all levels on the court. He has the strength and athleticism to finish efficiently at the rim, but has the shooting touch from the perimeter that makes him a dangerous offensive player. Look for his stock to rise this summer.

5’11 ’16 William Miller (Charlotte Impact)

The unsigned senior made the most of his opportunity on Saturday. In one game, he went off for 33 points including seven 3-pointers. Miller was fearless in his approach to the game and played with the proverbial chip on his shoulder. D2 schools and Jucos that are in need of a scoring point guard should check him out. He plays with intensity and has the quickness and moxy that will translate well at the next level.

6’2 ’17 Erwin Bennett (Queen City Thunder)

Erwin Bennett may be one of the best-underrated players in the area. He averaged approximately 22 PPG for the game and the scoring combo guard has a nice combination of handles and shooting stroke. Bennett can score from all levels, but his shooting efficiency from behind the arc may be his strongest attribute. Bennett has a long/lean frame and good athleticism; plus a tremendous feel for the game. He oozes confidence and plays with a “humble cockiness” that every shot is going in.
