Burt is so productive, it’s not in a traditional however it is incredibly effective. Many people will point toward his obvious physical traits, length, explosion, size…However, we feel it has a lot more to do with the mental aspect of his game. He has a great IQ and natural feel.
When asked about Burt, NC Runnin Rebels coach Aaron Clyburn lights up, “KD plays with a high motor and has the ability to do everything on the floor. He played in the post in many of his younger years and even for his high school team so is a very effective player around the basket. In addition to that he is very efficient playing on the wing as he handles the ball very well, can get to the basket and finish at the rim, and has made great strides with knocking down the outside shot.”
Last year, playing as a sophomore for Garner High School Burt averaged 16.6 points and 13.5 boards per game. Expect that role to expand as he is now a veteran. He is the type of player that coaches will need to watch a couple times, however each time they see him they will notice something different about his game.
Everything about Burt screams he is a winner.
