When talking about breakout players from the David Rose Memorial Day Classic, Demetric Horton's name was brought up by each person on our staff. It was his combination of size, touch, pace, skill set, production, and well and pretty much the entirety of his game.

Foreshadowing his performance, prior to his play at the David Rose MDC, Phenom Hoops' National Analyst Rick Lewis wrote,''Horton is a jack-of-all-trades. He's a blue-collar workhorse that gets the job done on both ends of the court. He has excellent length and athleticism and plays with a high motor. We really feel Horton has a huge upside and could be a surprise player in the 2018 class.'

Horton's AAU Coach Nick Stevens said,''Horton may have the highest ceiling of anyone on the team. He carries great size with good instincts. He makes plays happen around the rim, but also has guard skills with the ball in his hands. He has great range.'

Through 6 games this weekend Horton finished with 3 double-doubles. He averaged 15.2 points on 58.5% from the field and 57.1% from beyond the 3-point arc. He also contributed 9.8 boards (3.5 offensive), 4 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
