Like most programs in North Carolina, Holly Springs has begun to show signs of vulnerability over the last calendar year. After going 20-5 two seasons ago, the Golden Hawks lost Garrett Phillips, Carson Shortt, Ben Goetsch, and Kadin Shedrick, and followed up their best record in school history with an underwhelming 11-16 finish. This wasn't due to coaching, as L.J. Hepp previously showcased some of the most creative and purposeful basketball philosophies across the state. However, the loss of those four players shouldn't make for such a drastic drop-off in overall success, especially since they retained a Division I frontcourt pairing of Kaleb Scott (Georgia State) and Dante Kiesenhofer. Their strong conference certainly doesn't help matters, as plenty of teams would likely struggle to dethrone teams like Garner and Apex Friendship from atop the standings.''

The future appears even more challenging with the loss of Scott, Max Robertson, Ben Slocum, and Marcus Elliott looming. Though some struggles are to be expected, there is a likely scenario where Kiesenhofer has a substantial year and blows up as a prospect. He's a fluid, well-rounded power forward with phenomenal defensive instincts and an offensive skillset that continues to progress with each viewing. Playing alongside teammates like Shedrick and Scott prepared Kiesenhofer for the next level, where he'll be paired together with all sorts of interior counterparts. As impressive as he's been defensively, it'll be interesting to see how he fares as the clear leader and top offensive option for this team. Kiesenhofer possesses post moves, rebounding instincts, touch with either hand around the basket, and the ability to effectively space the floor from the perimeter. With the wheels in motion, it would be surprising if he didn't begin to collect a slew of offers. This is hisyear, all Kiesenhofer has to do is reach out and grab the opportunity.
