The talent around the region that is still available in the Class of 2025 is eye-opening, but Phenom Hoops is here to highlight players who are must-see prospects for D1 schools if they are looking to secure a late snag in the class. This is a series of articles that will be bringing new names for schools to take a hard look at.

2025 6’1 JD Bowden

Point guards are always important at the next level and one of the top point guards that is still left on the board is Ambassador Christian’s senior JD Bowden. The 6’1 guard has been a leader this year for his team and over the years, has continued to improve his overall feel and game. Bowden is a quick and electric guard with the ball in his hands, showing his speed out in transition and he does an excellent job in attacking downhill and finishing. He displays touch and feel in scoring around or over defenders, but can certainly surprise you with how athletic he is in finishing at the rim. Bowden displays tremendous playmaking potential, creating opportunities with his dribble, attacking and kicking out, and having a knack for finding teammates. He is a smart and unselfish point guard who plays hard, plays with toughness defensively, and can really make things happen on either side with his speed and quickness.  Bowden is having a tremendous season as an offensive weapon, scoring, creating, and overall just being an effective point guard on the floor.

He holds several offers from FIU, High Point, North Carolina A&T, Radford, and Western Carolina, while garnering interest from several other schools. Bowden has proven that he is a D1 guard that schools should take seriously and recruit here in North Carolina.
