We continue our coverage from the Phenom Team Camp this past weekend, as we had a chance to look at several teams in action and get an early look at many.  Another team that we wanted to dive in on was Covenant Day, a team that finished 14-16 overall but was a very competitive and scrappy team throughout the year.

Many of those players return from last year, as the Lions are hoping to take the next step as a program.  Diving into the roster, you have to start with their clear leader on the court in 2024 Elijah Green who is coming off a season in which he averaged 13ppg and 3.4apg.  Green is a scrappy guard that showcases his ability to score from a variety of levels; whether it is knocking down threes or creating off the bounce, Green continues to produce and we don’t see that slowing down any time soon.

Then you have to talk about 2025 Chris Rivens, another extremely valuable piece to this roster.  Rivens continues to take strides with his game, get stronger and develop nicely, as he really has a chance to make a bigger name for himself this season.  2024 Patrick Penosky also returns, a player that may get overshadowed at times, but comes to work every day and produced for this team.  He is active, makes strong plays and good decisions, and can knock down shots with confidence.  Those three should certainly be key parts once again for Covenant Day, but they have also added another dynamic guard in 2025 Tyree White.  White is one that can be a playmaker on the court, whether it is making plays off the bounce, getting others involved, finding ways to the line, or defending.  He should just be another weapon for this team on the court.

But again, you have those four guys leading the way, but then you have others like 2024 Charles Weaver, 2024 Walker Olshefski, 2026 Landon Haggarty, and so many others that should provide valuable minutes for this team.
