2026 Michael Phillips (Grace Christian):
This is one player that I’m very high on and think he could be one of the biggest stock risers in the Class of 2026 here in North Carolina, especially when you start watching more of his game and how he has developed. Phillips is a 6’5 long athletic prospect that has only elevated his game over the last few months, as he has added more offensively, is growing in his confidence, and becoming a stronger presence defensively. And the upside in his game is all there, so he could see his stock rise dramatically if everything comes together and he has a big season.
2026 Jim Gatehouse (South Meck):
Gatehouse is a player that we learned more about this summer, and we are eager to see what he can show this upcoming season. He will be one of the go-to players for his team, and Gatehouse’s blend of size and scoring ability is intriguing. He is a player that many may not know about now, but he has a chance to really break through and grab the attention of programs.
2026 Jordan Buzzard (East Meck):
Buzzard is another player that has really blossomed over the last year. Now part of the Class of 2026, Buzzard has the size and versatility that really intrigues you. Even with his latest showing at the Hoop State League, the forward was able to operate and show his feel inside the paint, on the boards, and with his touch and footwork. But he can show that he is comfortable in operating and stepping out, knocking down shots and mixing it up.
2026 Nick Keith (Grimsley):
Grimsley will be an intriguing team to watch this upcoming season, as they have an array of talent. But Keith has been elevating his game all summer long and catching the eyes of our scouts, showcasing his offensive capability. He creates very well, excels in the open floor, sets the tone for everyone, has strong creation ability, and can be a solid defender. Keith is a player that some may have not heard about but could see his stock rise with a strong season.
2026 Chad Graves (Northwood):
Northwood will have to replace a lot of size from last year’s team, and Graves is a player that will be depended on filling those roles. Graves is a 6’7 strong, physical forward who can be a strong presence and a strong finisher through contact, as well as be a force on the boards. The opportunity that Graves has this year could open more eyes his way, as well as watching how the young big continues to develop.
