Player: Bryce Baker
Class: 2025
Height: 6'2
School: Walkertown

It has been quite interesting to watch the success that Walkertown high school has had over the years, especially with the talent that comes through the door.  It wasn't long ago when we were watching Jalen Cone light it up from all levels on the court and they continue to have strong players performing at a high level.

That being said, Walkertown may have another player coming through the door in 2025 6'2 Bryce Baker, as he has been having a very strong start to his high school career. The freshman prospect is averaging 16.0 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. He is also shooting 51 percent from the floor, 50 percent from three, and has knocked down 40 three-pointers. That includes five games in which he scored 20+ points and is coming off a season-high 30 points vs. McMichael.

When talking to Baker about his game, he has this to say:

'I have always been a winner, seeking to win every game I play in,' he replied.  'My mentality has always been to change every game I play in.  Right now, I am flourishing in my role to score at all levels at any time and rebound the ball.  I am also seeking to expand my game beyond being just an overall great player and incorporate details of unpredictability.  Right now, I would describe my game as well-rounded and tenacious.'

'(It has been) humbling and confidence-boosting,' Baker continued when asked about stepping up as a freshman for his team. 'As I seek to win each and every game I play, I know I am going to need to contribute in some way. Being that key part of my team's efficiency is a great feeling. As I continue to trust and believe in my process to greatness, I know it is going to take grit, determination, and all the above and I'm in it for the challenge.'

Baker has been special on the court but he is also a dual-sport athlete, as he plays quarterback as well at Walkertown.  The freshman is quickly rising up the ranks with what he has shown and it seems that Walkertown has another prospect to watch coming through their program.
