The Knights of Greenfield are looking like one of the premier teams in the state of North Carolina, as head coach Rob Salter and his team are racking up the wins once again.  No stranger to having a talented group, Coach Salter once again has a very talented core on the court this season.  Senior Aaron Murphy is one that has been putting up some incredible numbers in helping lead the charge but 2024 Hampton Evans is right there with him, continuing to produce at a high level for the Knights.

On the season, Evans is averaging 18 points and six rebounds per game for Greenfield. He continues to be a productive asset for this team as just a sophomore but he has been in the spotlight with this program for quite some time, as far as when he was in eighth grade.

Evans is a poised, polished, well-rounded prospect that can find success on the floor in an array of ways. He has a good combination of size, IQ, and impact on the court for his team. He really shows a strong ability to create for himself, scores well around the basket, creates off the dribble, and also knocks down shots as a spot-up shooter.

With his continued production on the court but also his continued development as a player, it is easy to see why he is one of the premier talents in his class for North Carolina and he should only continue to garner the attention of coaches at the next level.

What Has Been Said:

'Evans led the charge for Greenfield, not settling for much outside and showing his ability to get to the basket and finish well around defenders.  Evans moved well without the ball and played with a smooth feel to the game. Still only part of the 2024 class, Evans continues to elevate his play and be a leader for this team.' – Good Guys vs. Cancer in 2021

'Although it should be widely known by now, Hampton Evans is already amongst the more polished and productive players in his class. His IQ and well-rounded skill set allow him to effectively mesh with any collection of players. Evans is a capable scorer from all levels, a useful ball-handler, and does a great job of rebounding for his position. Already well-established at Greenfield, he should only continue to put up big numbers going forward.' – CP3 Camp in 2021

'Evans seems to be a polished veteran on the court; he just goes about his business and produces.  He has a very good IQ and feel for the game, is a capable scorer from all levels with a smooth-looking shot, a good ball-handler, and one that also uses his 6'4 size to help on the boards. Evans is a leader on the floor and has been showing that for quite some time, helping lead his team at Greenfield.  With his size, his shot-making ability, and his value in other areas like rebounding, Evans proves to be a well-rounded and productive prospect that should only continue to do much of the same this upcoming high school season.'
