Time sure does fly in the basketball world, as it was early a year ago when Phenom Hoops introduced 2027 Keyonee Terry as one to watch in the class of 2027 here in North Carolina. And now fast-forward to the Phenom Summer Showcase, we had a chance to watch him yet again. Once again, it is clear that the 6’5 prospect from South Granville has the tools to be a big-time name in the class of 2027 here in North Carolina.
When watching him on the court, you can’t help but enjoy seeing the potential and flashes he gives you with his game. His length, wingspan, and athleticism continue to flourish in a variety of ways for his team. Terry excels with his ability to see the floor and find his teammates, making exceptional passes to his teammates. He also uses his length well on both ends, looking finish and score in an array of ways, being active on the glass, and helping attack the boards. But also being an impact player on the defensive end, showing nice timing and altering shots as well.
Terry gives you those flashes that certainly excite you, but he is far from what he ultimately could be in the end which makes him only that more exciting as a developing prospect. As he gets stronger and understands more of his capabilities, along with his overall development, Terry has a chance to be a tremendous prospect in the coming years.
What Was Said at Phenom Summer Showcase:
“6’5 ‘27 Keyonee Terry (Humble Gentz) continues to highlight flashes of a notable prospect. Checks so many boxes in terms of size, fluidity, and athleticism. Eager to follow as he adds strength and expands his overall skillset. Tons of upside.”
“2027 Keyonee “KJ” Terry (Gentz) has the chance to be a real player in his class. His blend of length, athleticism, vision, playmaking, and impact on both sides of the ball are impressive, but there is still so much potential left in his game.”
