Right before the Christmas break, Phenom Hoops had a chance to watch JM Robinson in action, a team that is coming off a state title and is looking once again to be a force on the court this season. There is plenty of talent in this program, but we want to highlight two seniors that could be terrific pieces for programs at the next level. 2023 Jermaine Gray and 2023 Zi'Kei Wheeler are two unsigned seniors that continue to produce and lead this team.
2023 Jermaine Gray
2022-23 Stats: 12.6 points per game
2023 Zikei Wheeler
2022-23 Stats: 11.0 points per game
If you want physical players… these are two players you will be wanting to check out. And these two are also players that are veterans on the court, impact the game in a variety of ways, and have been consistent throughout their high school careers.
Gray is one that really demonstrated his ability to be a strong, athletic prospect that was able to make shots from multiple levels, finds ways to create off the dribble, and finishes through contact; does a great job in finding ways to score the ball. Wheeler is another strong prospect, as the 6'3 sturdy prospect also understands how to get into the paint and use his strength to his advantage, but also helps initiate the offense, gets to the line, is strong on the boards, and gets downhill.
These are two seniors that should garner more eyes, and understand what it takes to win. And they are looking to lead the charge once again as Robinson hopes to hang up another banner this season.
