It seems that a program is going to grab themselves a talent on Sunday, as 2022 guard Paul Lewis recently announced that he would be committing to a program. The Bishop O'Connell prospect has seen his recruitment hit another level this past year, with a few high-major programs recently offering and others joining in.

But it seems that he has found his future home.

Bryant, Maryland, James Madison, Old Dominion, East Carolina, Cleveland State, and Georgetown have all offered Lewis.  Bryant was the first program to send an offer his way, one that he says was exciting but also one that motivated him to see how his hard work paid off.

Maryland was his second offer and certainly a big one in his eyes, as they are high on his list.

'The Maryland offer was big for me,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'Growing up, Maryland was my dream school.  When Coach Turgeon called, he told me that they had seen me play a few times this past year and they liked how well I can shoot the ball from long range and score.'

He also got a chance to check out the program before COVID-19 shut everything down, giving him a glimpse of what the fans and the game-atmosphere was like.

For James Madison, Old Dominion, East Carolina, Cleveland State, and Georgetown, Lewis says that they all have been staying in contact with him and informing him about what their program has to offer.  He has been happy with the relationship he has developed with each program.

What will all go into his decision though'

'I'm mainly looking for a school that has both strong academics and basketball,' he said.  'Also, I want a coaching staff that has a history of developing their guards and a system that I fit in.'

Lewis will be making his announcement on Sunday.

What does he bring to the table'

'I think I'm a three-level scorer.  I get my teammates involved and my defense has been improving.  I like to push the pace and play off pick and roll.'
