Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Noah Van Bibber
Class: 2023
Committed to: Winthrop

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Phenom Hoops had a chance to watch Bibber this summer during the LIVE Period and once again in open gym.  In both instances, Bibber impressed.  He is a 6'4 prospect that checks off boxes with how he understands the game and his IQ; he just has a natural feel to his game.  Coming from Florida, he is one that didn't receive much attention but that could quickly change.  When you watch him operate on the court, he can be deadly with his pull-up game (one-dribble jumper), finish around and at the rim with good athleticism, and plays with an unselfish feel on the court.  Underrated but maybe not for long.'

'Coming from Florida, Van Bibber is a name to put on your watch list for 2023.  He stands at 6'5, plays with a natural feel as well as making smart decisions.  He is efficient on the court and has good athleticism to his game, along with his ability to knock down shots, whether it is off the dribble or in catch and shoot situations.'

'Similar to the first entry listed, the case for recruiting Noah Van Bibber should be obvious. He's an athletic 6-foot-5 knockdown shooter with size and the ability to make an impact without requiring the ball in his hands. Van Bibber can create for himself or others, score the ball at an efficient rate from all three levels, or simply pose a lethal spot-up threat from beyond the arc. He attacks closeouts, makes quality decisions, and defends his position effectively. Additionally, Van Bibber is a capable rebounder and understands how to embrace his role as well as anyone in the state. Expect his recruitment to steadily trend upward over the coming months.'

'Albeit currently sidelined with an injury, the fact that schools aren't in heavy pursuit of Noah Van Bibber is actually somewhat ridiculous. Given the recruitment of notable shooters from the Class of 2022 (Donovan Atwell, Michael Zanoni, etc.), one would think coaches would actually try to get out in front of Van Bibber's inevitable blow-up prior to the travel ball season. Removing any bias or emotion from the discussion, the appeal of an athletic, 6-foot-5 wing who knocks down three-pointers at a 39% clip (42.5% in his last 15 games) should be self-explanatory. He's also more than just a standstill piece with spot-up ability, as Van Bibber comfortably attacks closeouts and displays a solid presence on the glass. Expect him to become a priority within the coming months.'
