Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Kennedy Miles
Class: 2020
Committed to: Western Carolina

What the Player Said:

PHR: What made Western Carolina the place for you in the end and what went into your decision'

Miles: Well, WCU first off is a beautiful place to be at. Also, the coaching staff there are just amazing people, they have been recruiting me since last summer and wanted to let me know that they will be there through the thick and thin. All around, their playstyle worked for how I play. They believed in me through it all.

PHR: How did you inform the staff and what did they have to say'

Miles: I went on my official on Thursday, so after that, I told Coach Prosser and they all were excited to have me.

Stats Last Season:

This past season as a junior, Miles was second on the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game, while also averaging 3.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He shot 36 percent from three, knocking down 60 this past season, while also shooting 51 percent inside the arc.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“A high-level defender with active hands who came away with a ton of steals for his team. Showcased the ability to knock down the jumper consistently off the catch and create for others. Had a lot of dog in him and showed that he can be one to watch.” – Phenom Hoops at QC Showcase 2019

“The point guard is certainly among the top prospects on this Williams squad, and that was fairly clear during this showing. He didn’t shoot the ball particularly well in the first half, however, Miles was able to effortlessly get by his assignment and utilizes his quickness/shiftiness quite well. That being said, he was very efficient in the second half and showed the ability to score from all over the floor. Miles also defends and rebounds at a strong level for his position.” – Jeff Bendel in 2019
