Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jayden “Juke” Harris
Class: 2024
Committed to: Wake Forest

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Harris’ recruitment has taken off with offers from all over the country coming in.  Virginia, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Mississippi State, St. John’s, Virginia Tech, Temple, NC State, Illinois, and several others have all entered the mix and that list should only continue to grow. But when watching this young man his past season, I could easily see that Harris could be an incoming prospect for a program that you will just need to find ways to get on the floor early.  Harris could be one of a few players that instantly come in and make an impact for his team, especially with what he could provide early on and in his development. Harris already has a college-ready frame at 6’6 and should only get stronger in the coming years, as well as his time in a college weight room early on. But when watching his game, one can see that he can be a game-changer with his jumper, his range, and his size.  With his shot-making ability and range, I could easily see Harris making an early impact for a program, coming in and being a shot-maker and a threat from three, displaying his confident range and ability to knock down shots over defenders at 6’6 (and possibly growing more).  And that could be just in year one for Harris, as his game should only continue to develop with more experience at the college level and more opportunities will be available for him.”

“He’s a smooth, skilled, crafty wing prospect with an excellent blend of IQ, size, natural leadership, and overall polish. Harris is a high-level shooting threat with the ability to apply constant, yet efficient scoring pressure from anywhere on the floor. He’s a willing and unselfish passer who can reliably set up others as a primary creator. That being said, Harris is more than comfortable at dominating an offense and comfortably dictating the action with the ball in his hands. He’s also a useful rebounder who understands how to disrupt opponents with his length defensively.”

“Jayden “Juke” Harris should be one that fans have down to monitor. Getting my first glance at him not long ago at the Catawba Summer Camp, he continues to bring more attention to his game with his long 6’3 frame and ability to be a scorer.  Harris isn’t afraid of bright lights and isn’t afraid to pull the trigger on his outside shot, being a real threat in rising over defenders from three.  But he is a crafty guard on the floor in creating opportunities for himself.  What intrigues you as well is the potential in his body continuing to grow and fill out.  He is one you have to have on your radar for sure.” – Patrick O’Brien in 2021

“What else can you say that hasn’t been said about the big-time prospect?  Harris continues to lead his team in a big way, and steps up when his team needs and the game is on the line.  The 6’6 prospect scored all over, rising over defenders with ease, showing great lift in his shot, and continues to be a huge threat from behind the arc.  And when the game was on the line, he stepped up to get hit the game-winner.”
