Ian Jackson huge get for UNC

Jackson is a 6'6 prospect and is regarded as one of the top recruits in the class of 2024. He held offers from all around the country and was highly coveted by so many, but it ultimately came down to North Carolina, Kentucky, and Arkansas.

Jackson took multiple visits as of late to schools and he announced on Monday that he would be part of the Tar Heel family. With his commitment, North Carolina is looking to turn in one of the top recruiting classes for 2024, and the 6'6 prospect should instantly provide scoring power with his size, athleticism, his ability to create for himself, and how strong he can be from all areas. He is labeled as a pure scorer and he has shown that consistently. That should certainly help the Tar Heels in the coming years, giving Coach Davis a go-to player to help fill it up with size.

Also, it gives North Carolina another win when it comes to recruiting, as he has been able to quickly find success with recruits since becoming a head coach at UNC.

Loaded 2024 recruiting class

When you start diving into this class for the Tar Heels, there is a lot to like. You have an elite point guard with Elliot Cadeau; a PG that has elite vision, finds his teammates extremely well, is crafty with the ball in his hands, and brings balance to the floor in playmaking and scoring. Then you have a center in James Brown, who brings size, a big that runs rim to rim, finishes strong, and shows the ability to make plays inside and out. He is a promising 6'9 prospect that has an intriguing and developing skill set, and should only get better and stronger. Then you have Drake Powell, a prospect brings length, versatility, IQ, scoring power, and is an elite defender. Now adding Jackson, Coach Davis has four different pieces that have a chance to really mold into a loaded future roster.
